Notice to all companies with a website: trash all mail from Domain Registry of America regarding your web domain

On 23, May 2013 | In Cowboy Wisdom, Social Media | By Arengee

domainregistryenvelopeThe letter looks official enough, and that’s how they convince the unknowing recipient.

If you read the whole letter inside you will see small print at the bottom that states “this is not a bill”, nor does Domain Registry of America currently own your domain.

And if you read all the fine print you’ll understand that by making a payment you turn over the ownership and control of your domain (website address/URL) to Domain Registry of America.

Here’s the best thing to do when you receive mail regarding your website domain or website hosting: contact your I.T. department or the employee or company who set up the website. They will know immediately if this mail is bogus or if this is indeed the correct company it is who hosts the domain and hosting.
