Lincoln Mercury back from the dead? New MKT looks eerily like hurse

First of all, Ford closed the Mercury division because of model redundancy – a move that was touted as one of the reasons for a significant profit turnaround for the automaker. They also trimmed down the number of Lincoln dealers. So why would they go back to building a redundant set of cars that just cost more?
Oh and I saw an all black version of MKT this morning and was struck by the overwhelming “hurse” look.
The Wall Street Journal reported back in January Ford’s commitment to Lincoln was still in question. Hurse look a coincidence? Hmmm…
