Jay-Z – why do rappers perpetuate the “n” word in song? And can’t you be original?

I’m a big fan of iHeart Radio. I listen to it daily on my computer while working. Today they promoted Jay-Z’s new single “Holy Grail”. So I gave it a spin.
The beat/tune was cool, pulled me in. Justin Timberlakes’ falsetto breaks in “You take the clothes off my back, and I let you…” Jay-Z breaks in with an Ohhh. Standard rap lyric, I guess. The hook is pretty interesting until they sample an old song. Then verse two drops the “n” word at the end of the first line.
Insert the sound of a record screeching to a halt here.
Hey Jay-Z:
- Stop using the “n” word
- With all the talent you supposedly have, stop ripping off other writers riff’s
- Oh, and I really dislike the new commercials where you try and sound philosophical and worldly
